A Rock & Roll song I wrote about two hitchhikers from Chicago meeting at a Big Boy diner on Highway 66, and catching a ride to Dog Town on Santa Monica Blvd. with a guy from L.A.

LYRICS:

They met at a Big Boy diner on Highway 66.
There was not much going on back in 1971.
That's where they met on Route 66.
Yeh, that's where they met on Route 66.

They were from Chicago and goin' to Dog Town and the Bay.
So they hitched a ride together with a guy from L.A.
That was on Route 66 in the good old USA.
In the Summer of, the Summer of 1971.

Yeh, they met at a diner on Route 66.
Back in the Summer of, the Summer of 1971.
In the good old days, in the good old days of the USA.
in the good old days of Route 66.

On the historic highway, Highway 66.
